Caplane is a serverless, facilitator-free primitive that lets agents buy scarce on-chain capabilities from each other. Payment and the action settle in a single transaction that no one coordinates, censors, or fakes. The product is the primitive; the capabilities, gas sponsorship, allocation slots, Timeboost inclusion, are interchangeable adapters behind it.

The path, end to end

A consumer signs one EIP-3009 order off-chain (no gas). Any relayer transmits it to brokerCapability. Inside one transaction the payment settles, the adapter grants the scarce capability, and the payout splits, or the whole transaction reverts. There is no box for a coordinator, a facilitator, or an escrow anywhere in that path. That absence is the point.

Why no coordinator matters

Other designs put a coordinator in the path (a gateway, an escrow vault, a separate redemption step) or deliver the capability off-chain on trust after payment. Caplane does neither. The relay is permissionless and paid by feeBps, so anyone can run it, and the binding makes a relayer unable to tamper with the order. There is nothing in the middle to coordinate, censor, or fake. A successful settlement emits one Brokered event and is final.
